Animal Shelter

Martin County

Humane Society

The animal shelter also now has heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, de-worming treatment, and Hill's Science Diet dog and cat food available for purchase. Prices vary. Feel free to email us at info@humanesocietyofmartincounty.org for more information.

Currently, surgery appointments are only available on Wednesdays. Days will increase once Dr. Loughmiller frees up her schedule in her current positions. When filling out the information below, indicate which upcoming Wednesday you would like. We will let you know if spaces are still available for that Wednesday. Also indicate any extra services you would like in addition to the spay/neuter surgery.

Request A Spay/Neuter Appointment by filling out the form below. Be sure and answer ALL required questions with a red *.

Cat spay/neuter: $50

Feral cat spay/neuter: $30 (includes mandatory ear tip)

Dog spay/neuter, dog under 80 pounds: $80

Dog spay/neuter, dog over 80 pounds: $100

Drop off will be 9-9:15 a.m. Wednesday morning. Animals can be picked up Wednesday evening from 5-6 p.m. unless we feel they need to stay overnight and we will contact you to let you know. It will depend on how they are responding after waking up from anesthesia.

Please note, if you sign up for an appointment and then don't show up, you will not be able to utilize our low-cost spay/neuter clinic in the future. Repeated cancellations/rescheduling will require payment in full when the appointment is re-made. Also, if you don't pick up your animal on time, you will be charged $15 for every 15 minutes you are late. Our volunteers have jobs they have to get to and can't be held up waiting on you. We hate to keep adding on rules however in the very, very short time our clinic has been open, we have already had people disappoint us. Sadly, a few bad apples spoil the bunch.
